A Fundraiser to Benefit Summer & Winter Youth Programs at Hickory Ski Center

Join us for the Second Annual Hickory Hike 4 Kids, where you can take part in a community hike followed by an after-party filled with outdoor music, local beer and wine, tasty food, and fun family games.

The Hickory Legacy Foundation is dedicated to fostering healthy lifestyles, providing educational and recreational opportunities, and promoting environmental sustainability in our region, with a special focus on the 3 Sisters Range. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards covering operational expenses and supporting summer and winter youth programs.

The Hike

• Distance: 1.25 miles
• Elevation Gain: 1,000 ft
• Time to Complete: 1-2.5 hrs

Description:
Challenge yourself with a hike to the top of the iconic Hickory Ski Area! The trail will follow the ski area trails out to Ridge Run. The hike up the Ridge Run trail has beautiful eastern views of Warrensburg and mountains surrounding Lake George. Once at the top, views of the southern Adirondack Mountains, Gore Mountain, and High Peaks Area can be seen.

The trail is a mostly gradual grade with some steep sections.  It is wide, level, and comprised of grass, sand and loose cobble, and some flat rock surfaces. 

If you would like to hike but prefer something easier, you are welcome to do a self guided hike on any of our hiking trails.
